Webinar: Building Strong Connections Among Students & Faculty
Whether lectures with 300 other students, small upper-division courses, or intimate faculty-hosted events on the Hill, students can greatly benefit, both professionally and academically, from developing strong relationships with professors throughout their undergraduate career.
Hosted By Parents’ Council member, Jennifer Payne, Parent ’19, this webinar engages (from left) Dr. Lori Vogelgesang, Director of the Faculty in Residence (FIR) Program; Dr. Michael Hill, professor of Mathematics and Faculty in Residence; Dr. Miryung Kim, associate professor in computer science and Faculty in Residence, and student Abby Low ’20, intended biology major and current Hill resident to share tips, provide perspective, and respond to audience questions for around building faculty-student relationships, watch here.
The 8th Annual Coffee Socials were a resounding success bringing parents and family members together in 55 cities around the globe including 26 California, 21 out of state, and 9 international locations. The event brought together over 630 individuals to connect, share their experiences supporting their UCLA students, and pick up informational materials from Parent and Family Programs.
