The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center (pictured, above right) is conveniently located in the center of campus in Bruin Plaza. The Ashe Center offers a variety of services to support the diverse UCLA campus community. Services include:

Students with UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) can utilize the majority of Ashe's services free of cost. Students with BruinCare can utilize the core services of the Ashe Center free of charge. Students who do not have UC SHIP are still able to utilize Ashe Center services, for a small fee. The UCLA Ashe Center recognizes that health concerns don't follow a campus schedule. Sometimes your student will need answers to their health concerns right away - and that can be in the middle of the night or while they're off campus. That's why the Anthem Blue Cross 24/7 NurseLine (877-351-3457) is there for your student 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your student can call the NuseLine any time to speak with a registered nurse who is trained to help them make more informed decisions about their health.

Medical Emergency/Crisis

In the case of a life threatening emergency, your student should go to the nearest hospital emergency department: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Emergency Room (310-825-2111)

If an ambulance is needed: Call 911 or campus UCPD at (310) 825-1491

For an urgent medical problem when the Ashe Center is open, your student can visit the Walk-In Urgent Care Center. Walk-In Urgent Care hours are Monday – Friday, 1pm-6:30pm (1st Floor, Ashe Center).

When the Ashe Center is closed your student can call the Nurseline for advice and information from a registered nurse, or visit a local Urgent Care Center. Click here to view the Ashe Center's list of local Urgent Care Centers.
