Bruin Family Insights

At UCLA, we believe an informed and supportive family plays an integral role in a student’s educational success. That’s why Bruin Family Insights is back – now as a podcast! – to equip families with knowledge to help you get to know UCLA better, and encourage your student to thrive during their time at UCLA and beyond. Join the conversation as we explore the ins-and-outs of UCLA through the eyes of those who know this journey best: students, faculty, staff, alumni and – of course – Bruin parents themselves. Learn more about the podcast and see where you can listen by visiting our Anchor page. Catch up on our latest episodes about remote learning and building community during COVID-19 before the next episode drops mid-December.

25 Years of the LGBTQ Resource Center

The LGBTQ Campus Resource Center (LGBTQ CRC) is celebrating 25 years with a renewed emphasis on empowering LGBTQ Bruins. Partnering with its academic counterpart, UCLA LGBTQ Studies, which provides a curricular framework, the LGBTQ CRC provides support for the student experience. Learn more here about the LGBTQ Resource Center’s evolution over the years and how their team works to offer students mentorship, a place to gather, and opportunities for advocacy.

Keeping Your Bruin Connected

Is your student looking for ways to stay connected to UCLA and their fellow Bruins while taking courses online? Encourage them to check out the UCLA Community web page, which brings together events hosted by Bruin communities around the world into a single calendar. Bruins are also invited to explore the Student Affairs Guidebook, which serves as a hub for navigating this academic year and finding support at UCLA. On campus or at home, there is a community for every Bruin.
