The UCLA Parent Involvement Portal is where you will be able to find all information about event and volunteer opportunities, rosters and contact information for fellow members. To get started, navigate to Portal Login Page

 

Complete the Get Signed Up box on the right side of the screen. You will need to provide:

– first & last name
– an email address
– and create a password

Click [Create Account]. You will then be redirected to your Profile Page.


Here, update your “Basic Profile” noting these items will be visible only to fellow Members in the portal.

 

– [Required] Upload your photo to the Profile Picture (right side of screen)

– [Optional] Input your mobile number if you would like to receive text message updates regarding events when applicable

– [Optional] Input your mailing address

– [Optional] Input your birthday

– [Encouraged] Input some information about yourself, your student and/or why you love UCLA to help other Members get to know you.

Once you’ve completed all necessary fields, Click [Continue] to move to the second page (all information on this page is optional) so you may scroll to bottom and click [Finish]. You will now be on your profile page.


Once your profile is completed you will receive an email confirming. You may use the link here to navigate back to the Portal Login page and join the UCLA Parent Involvement group.

To join the Parent Involvement group, login with your OrgSync Account using your email address and password.

OR

At this point you can opt to Sign in with Facebook (note: OrgSync does NOT post anything to your profile, this option only allows for a more streamlined login process). 

At the top of the page, in the Search for anything… bar, type “UCLA Parent Involvement” and click on the group (highlighted in the screenshot).

On the right-hand side of the screen click [Join Now] and type in the password “PC2015”.  You should now be able to see all aspects of the page, including Upcoming Events, Most Recent Photos, People, and Top Files.

Once you are in the group, we encourage you to get familiar with the system; click around and/or watch the Navigating OrgSync | Where to Find Things video.


On the Home/Profile Page, some tabs to note:

 

In the upper right corner you can click on My Memberships where you can navigate to the UCLA Parent Involvement homepage.  Alternatively, you can click on your name/photo and open up the drop-down shown here…

 

New Messages will indicate if you have received any communications from other members; you can click on the number to navigate to your inbox.

 

Notifications will indicate if there has been any recent activity related to your profile or own activity (i.e. if you RSVP’d for an event and someone makes a comment, or if you have been tagged in a photo).

 

My Calendar will show upcoming event and volunteer opportunities, you can click on a specific event to read more details.

 

My Profile will bring you back to your own profile should you choose to make edits or updates.

 

Inbox will show you latest messages from the PFP staff or other Council Members sent through the system.

 

The second Calendar listing will bring you to a Month-view of events and opportunities. Once on this page you can click on an event title to open a window with more information and/or to RSVP.

 

Settings (not shown) will allow you to update your notification settings (i.e. if there are specific actions in OrgSync that you would like to receive notifications about directly to your email or via text message).
